Drew Boddie, 21, of 501 S. Ohio Ave., is expected to appear in court at 10:30 a.m. today on a charge of robbery.
A Springfield police report says police were dispatched to the Fifth Third Bank at 20 S. Tuttle Road about 9:30 a.m. Jan. 3.
Officers said bank employees told them Boddie allegedly first asked for information about opening a new account, according to the report. When a bank employee told him that they could help, Boddie allegedly handed over a green folder, the report says.

“When he opened the green folder there was a piece of notebook paper on top,” the report says. “The piece of paper had a hand written not stating ‘No alarm will shoot everybody give me the money now.’”
The suspect allegedly got money from the bank but the report doesn’t say how much.
“Dispatch advised that the suspect left the scene in an unknown direction,” the report says. “Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.”
On Jan. 4, police released security footage to local media outlets. They received several calls from people who allegedly identified the suspect as Boddie. He was later picked out of a lineup, according to a police report.
Boddie was arrested by police officers at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11.
