Dontae Bailey Sr., 34, originally was charged with felonious assault and having a weapon while under a disability for a previous conviction in the Jan. 16 shooting that occurred in the 1300 block of Imperial Court in Troy. The charge later was amended to aggravated assault while the weapons charge and a gun specification were dismissed. Bailey pleaded guilty in Miami County Common Pleas Court in April.

Police said Bailey shot another man in the leg during a dispute over drugs.

Judge Christopher Gee said Bailey had six prior felony convictions and had served two prior prison terms. Bailey was given for 101 days served in jail.
