Vandalia police are looking for a man who threatened he had a knife and robbed a Speedway early this morning.
Officers went a brief high-speed chase down Interstate 75 after seeing a car flee the gas station on National Road to the east of the highway.
No one was arrested, but police say they may know the suspect’s identity.
The clerk described him as wearing a black coat, black gloves and a green cap. He did not show a knife, but said he had one after entering the store around 4 a.m., according to police.
The chase reached 110 miles per hour before officers called it off in the area of Wagner Ford, according to initial reports.
No one was hurt.
No customers were inside at the time of the robbery.
