Riverside woman pleads not guilty in head-on OVI crash in Huber Heights

UPDATE @ 4:45 p.m. (April 16):

A Riverside woman accused of driving drunk when her SUV crossed the center line and hit a Jeep pleaded not guilty to charges Tuesday morning.

A judge put Baleigh Jo Collinsworth, 19, on house arrest and scheduled her next court date for May 2.

INITIAL REPORT:

A 19-year-old Riverside woman was indicted Tuesday in connection to a three-vehicle OVI crash in December in Huber Heights.

An arrest warrant was issued for Baleigh Jo Collinsworth who is charged with four counts of aggravated vehicular assault and two misdemeanor OVI charges, according to Montgomery County Common Pleas Court records.

Collinsworth and two other drivers were injured in the crash that happened around 4 p.m. Dec. 12, 2018, on state Route 202 near the intersection with Leston Drive.

According to a Huber Heights traffic crash report, Collinsworth was driving a 2001 Chevrolet sport-utility vehicle south on state Route 202 when she crossed over the center line and struck head-on a 2010 Jeep Patriot driven by 71-year-old Wanda M. Hoskins of Brookville.

The Jeep, headed north on state Route 202, was then struck by a 2009 Dodge Avenger, also northbound, driven by 80-year-old Kenora A. Davis of Dayton, the crash report stated.

The report stated that police suspected Collinsworth was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. She is scheduled to be arraigned April 23, or sooner once she’s in custody.
