WATCH: Video shows mayhem after RTA bus hit by gunfire

An RTA bus was the unintended target of gunfire this evening when occupants of one car shot at another car, Dayton police said.

At least two shots were fired, with one striking the bus window and another hitting the CSL Plasma building.

Witnesses said they are counting their blessings after they escaped without injury.

Police are combing through evidence and are hoping surveillance cameras can lead them to a license plate number of the shooter.

FIRST REPORT

A bullet broke out a window of an RTA bus this evening and knocked a rider out of her wheelchair.

No one was shot, but another rider suffered a minor facial laceration when the glass shattered around 6:50 p.m. while the bus was at North Main Street and Neal Avenue in Dayton, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

No suspect information was available.
