Wild ride ends with plenty of citations

WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County – At 2:05 a.m., a car pulled into a bar after an officer followed him for no working plate light, failure to stop for a red light, failure to use turn signals and going 80 mph on State Route 725.

At first, when confronted by police, the 27-year-old man walked away, but was quickly apprehended and found with a cigarette pack wrapped in a baggie containing a white powder in his pants.

The powder did not seem to be sugar or salt.

He also had trouble walking and smelled of alcohol. It was discovered he had three prior OVIs with one conviction, pleading down the other two.

Refusing a breath test, he was taken to a nearby hospital after a judge’s order was obtained, and was subjected to a blood test before being booked in the Montgomery County jail for possession of drugs.
