Woman indicted in separate shootings, death of another woman in Dayton

A Dayton woman was indicted Tuesday for two separate shooting incidents and the death of a 28-year-old woman.

Tarmeisha S. Brown, 24, was among a group of women involved in an altercation with another group of women June 20 at Rick’s Jazz Lab in Dayton. The fight continued at an apartment complex, where Brown is accused of shooting and killing Destiny Bellfo and shooting and wounding Bellfo’s sister, both unarmed, according to a release from the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Brown also was accused of firing a gun at the car of another group of women on May 13 as they were trying to leave following an altercation at Residence Park, the prosecutor’s office said. No one was injured.

Brown is charged with seven counts of felonious assault for the May incident, and voluntary manslaughter, and two counts of felonious assault in the June 20 shooting. All charges carry a three-year firearm specification.

Brown remains in the Montgomery County Jail on a $1 million bond and will be arraigned July 2 in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
