81-year-old accused of exposing himself on Dayton bike path

An 81-year-old man is accused of exposing himself on a Dayton bike path.

MetroParks Rangers involved in an undercover operation Wednesday afternoon in the 2600 block of Deweese Parkway said one of them approached Fredie Williams of Dayton along a recreation path and started a conversation.

Williams allegedly exposed himself and began performing a sexual act on himself, according to the rangers.

The area is near the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, and rangers said children were nearby at the time of the incident. However, it was not believed children saw anything inappropriate.

Williams was booked into the Montgomery County Jail sometime before 3 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of two counts of public indecency. He has since been released from jail, records show.

According to online Dayton Municipal Court records, Williams was convicted of public indecency in August 2010 after pleading no contest to the charge.
