2 Darke County fugitives captured in Texas

Two fugitives wanted in the investigation into to a meth lab discovered near Versailles were arrested Tuesday in Texas.

Joseph King and Tracey McCarty, who have been on Darke County's most wanted list since July, were arrested earlier today by police in Anna, Texas.

Darke County Crime Stoppers received information about the whereabouts of the men and passed it along to Anna authorities.

In February, Darke County deputies discovered a meth lab in the 9600 block of Greenville Saint Mary's Road, west of Versailles.

McCarty and King were implicated in the investigation and they are wanted on charges accusing them of manufacturing drugs, assembling or possessing chemicals to manufacture drugs and possession of criminal tools, police said.

King and McCarty are expected to be returned to Darke County following an extradition hearing.
