Deputies: Victim in shooting near mobile home park that caused school lockdowns not cooperating

A man who was shot Tuesday morning in Lemon Twp. has been “not cooperative” with Butler County Sheriff Deputies, said Sgt. Melissa Gerhardt.

The man was shot above his right knee and transported to Atrium Medical Center by the Monroe life squad. When interviewed by deputies, the man refused to answer most of the questions, Gerhardt said.

She said the man told deputies he had never seen the shooting suspect before and “that’s normally not the case,” Gerhardt said.

He was shot near the intersection of Locust and Staton streets close to the Creekwood Village Mobile Home Park.

Deputies are continuing to investigate the shooting, she said.
