Police retrieved nine pieces of evidence from the home, including cell phones, blank checks, rubber gloves, a composition book, and a crack pipe, according to the document.
According to the affidavit for the search warrant, Robert Childers recalled being with his girlfriend, Destiny Williams, earlier in the day in the basement of the house.
“Childers could not provide any information about Williams or himself leaving the residence,” according to the court document signed by Detective Kristi Hughes.
When detectives found Williams, she was missing her shoes but there was no dirt on the bottom of her feet “as if she had walked to the area and laid down, according to the court document.
This led detectives to believe the couple had been dumped at the site, according to the document.

Middletown police searched the basement of a home Monday night on Buena Avenue looking for evidence related to what they have said was the dumping of a man and woman behind a vacant restaurant over the weekend.
Police collected about 20 pieces of evidence, Middletown Police Maj. Scott Reeve told the Journal-News. He said it was too early in the investigation to determine if the evidence links Robert Childers, 45, and Destiny Williams, 24, to the residence and their alleged drug overdose.
He refused to release what items were collected.
Reeve said police believe Childers and his girlfriend may have overdosed in the basement where they lived, then their bodies were moved and “dumped” behind the restaurant in the 2000 block of South Main Street.
He called that “the most likely scenario.”
Williams, a mother of four, was pronounced dead at the scene. Childers was transported to Atrium Medical Center. He was interviewed by police on Monday and then released from the hospital.
