A locally owned and independent barbecue restaurant is now open, bringing new life to the venerable former Cadillac Jack’s Bar & Grill space in the Skyway Plaza in Fairborn.

Crossroads BBQ & More moved across town from its previous location at 1888 Colonel Glenn Highway and planned to open “softly” on Tuesday April 23, at 11 56 Kauffman Ave., co-founder and co-owner Jason McGee told this news outlet late Monday.

“This is a perfect location for us,” McGee said. “It opens up a whole new opportunity for us to fulfill the vision I’ve had for the restaurant.”

The original Crossroads BBQ & More location had a seating capacity of about 50. The new restaurant seats about 100 inside and another 40 on the patio, “so we almost tripled our seating,” McGee said.

The restaurant is still hiring and will employ about 20, its co-owner said. During the soft opening, delivery will not be available, but will be added in the coming weeks, he said.

Plans call for hosting live music and special events such as car shows, bike shows, cornhole tournaments, trivia and karaoke. Lottery and keno also will return soon, McGee said. The restaurant still has exterior signage and bar chairs that reflect the Cadillac Jack’s and Caddy’s Tap House names, but that will change over time, the Crossroads owner said.
