Family forced out after car hits house

Huber Heights Battalion Fire Chief Scott Hall said the driver hit several parked cars, and then slammed into a garage. The garage wall moved about six inches.

He said the residents were asleep upstairs, and were awakened by the crash.

They residents were not hurt, but Hall said they will not be able to stay in the house. He said the utilities have been turned off, and the structural integrity is uncertain.

The driver fled on foot, but police know his identity.
