Feedback sought on West Carrollton downtown revitalization plan

The final meeting for public input is set for next week on a West Carrollton revitalization plan for the area that includes the former Fraser Paper Mill and the Olde Downtown area near Elm Street and Central Avenue.

The Wednesday open house from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fire Station 56 at 125 W. Central Ave. will be the last chance for feedback on preliminary short- and long-term concepts to be presented by the city and OHM Advisors, a consultant hired for the project.

About 200 people attended an August meeting aimed at soliciting feedback on a revitalization plan, according to the city.

The study, which is aimed at identifying a market-based, economically viable, sustainable vision for the area, is being funded by a grant from the Montgomery County Land Bank, according to the city.
