Former OSU football star to speak at Carroll HS tonight

Former Ohio State University football star Ahmed Plummer is scheduled to speak Monday night at Carroll High School.

Plummer will speak at 7 p.m. in the Carroll cafeteria as part of the Carroll Football Letterman Club Leadership Series. He will discuss his life experiences on faith, hope and love, according to a release.

Admission is free to the event.

Plummer — OSU’s co-captain in 1999 and a preseason All-American — earned Academic All-American honors his senior year. He was selected first team All-Big Ten and was a semifinalist for the Thorpe Award.

Plummer was a first-round draft choice of the San Francisco 49ers and played six seasons in the NFL.
