Free country concert, ceremony to honor military veterans

K99.1 FM will present a free Ford Oval of Honor Veterans’ Hero Concert, featuring Mitchell Tenpenny and Hasting & Co. on June 16 at Buckeye Harley-Davidson, 7220 N. Dixie Drive in Dayton.

The radio station will broadcast on location when the doors open from 4 to 6 p.m. A ceremony highlighted by a color guard will then honor veterans.

The male/female duo Hasting & Co., with Kate Hasting and Josh Beale, will perform, starting at 6:15 p.m., followed by Tenpenny at 7:30 p.m. Tenpenny is a country singer and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee.

No tickets are required; all ages are welcome to attend.

Food trucks and beer will be available for sale. No umbrellas or coolers are allowed at the concert.

A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation Inc., which supports a network of compassionate care/comfort homes where military families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving medical treatment.

Free parking is available with a free RTA shuttle to and from Buckeye Harley-Davidson at the Miller Lane Sam’s Club and Murlin Heights Elementary School at 8515 N. Dixie Drive.
