German trade official to discuss business opportunities

A German trade official will meet with area business leaders Oct. 20 to discuss how to grow foreign direct investments in the Dayton region, according to a media release.

Kirsten Hentschel, a trade specialist in the Commercial Service Section of the American Consulate General in Dusseldorf, Germany, will discuss services available to area companies who are currently doing business in Germany or are planning to enter European markets.

Hentschel will address topics that include finding an appropriate business partner in Germany or Europe; effective international sales strategies for selling in Germany; possible opportunities for your company in Germany; best practices on exporting; and foreign regulations and standards.

The free event will be held at at 10 a.m. Oct. 20 at the Montgomery County Administration Building, 10th floor, 451 W. Third St., Dayton.
