Get your car cleaned while supporting West Side Little League

Players for Hamilton’s West Side Little League may have done double take when a police vehicle pulled into their car wash fundraiser today.

But even the city’s new public affairs cruiser needs a little TLC from time to time.

The players are hosting a fundraiser car wash until 5 p.m. today, Aug. 2, at the B Street Auto Spa, 325 S. B St.

“They wash cars like they play ball — lots of heart and determination,” the Hamilton Police Department posted on its Facebook page.

West Side’s 12-year-old team is raising money for its quest to make the Little League World Series.

Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Ind., is the next stop for West Side. The locals will represent Ohio at the Great Lakes Regional and will face the Wisconsin state champion Sunday, Aug. 6.
