The A.C. Moore store opening its first Dayton-area location in Centerville is anticipating an October opening.
This news organization previously reported the store would open a location after seeing job postings listed on the company’s website. The store will create 25 to 30 jobs at the Centerville location, said spokeswoman Anastasia Barbalios.

After a $200,000 renovation, the store will open at 251 E. Bell Road in the Cross Pointe Center, said Centerville’s city planner Andrew Rodney.
The 19,800 square-foot building will include more than 40,000 arts and crafts products, home decor, special occassion accessories and kids’ activities.
“At A.C. Moore, we continuously strive to find ways to best serve the needs of our customers. We work hard to provide convenient area locations, innovative products and materials, and an unmatched in-store shopping experience,” said A.C. Moore president Anthony Piperno. “We are very excited to be expanding into the state of Ohio and look forward to cultivating a creative and inspiring relationship with the community for many years to come.”
A.C. Moore, which has operated for more than 30 years, recently expanded into Ohio when it opened a store in Columbia Twp. near Cincinnati in June. Centerville is one of six more Ohio stores planned in a larger expansion.
“The expansion into Ohio is part of a reinvigorated retail strategy that includes new stores in Kentucky, Idaho and other untapped markets, bringing A.C. Moore’s unmatched brand experience to creative consumers all across the country,” Barbalios said.
