“Two Paths: America Divided or United” was released April 25. The book, Kasich’s fourth, reflects on the contentious 2016 presidential campaign and the governor’s hopes for the country’s future.

Kasich, who has been in public office almost his entire adult life, dropped out of the GOP primary in May 2016, leaving the race to Trump. The governor refused to back the GOP nominee or appear on the floor of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland in July. Kasich issued a sharp rebuke of Trump when a hot mic video emerged that showed Trump making crude comments about women.

Since then, Kasich has broken with Trump over future plans for expanded Medicaid and criticism of the media. And Trump backed Jane Timken for Ohio Republican Party chairman while Kasich stood behind Matt Borges — Timken won.

‘Two Paths’ marks his first book since 2010. Kasich previously authored ‘Courage is Contagious,’ ‘Stand for Something: The Battle for America’s Soul’ and ‘Every Other Monday.’

He’ll also read from the book in Westlake, Chicago and Yorba Linda, California at The Richard Nixon Library. In 1970, Kasich met Nixon in the Oval Office as a freshman at Ohio State.
