On Aug. 3, 2019, Craig A. Cortner III was found in a home in the 1000 block of Euclid Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Montgomery County Coroner Kent Harshbarger.
Residents in the neighborhood found Cortner after they heard gunshots and went to investigate, said Miami Valley Crime Stoppers Coordinator Zachariah Hastings.
In the months following the deadly shooting, Dayton police urged people to come forward with any information.

In April, Miami Valley Crime Stoppers offered a reward up to $5,000 to anyone with details that would help the investigation.
At that time, Hastings said police had a couple people of interest, but needed more information before they could close the case.
