Hamilton’s newest small business opens for owner whose products are getting international attention

A new stationery shop opened on Saturday at 306 Main St. in Hamilton.

Scripted Studio Shop isn’t the first business for owner Carrie O’Neal, a graphic designer, who has owned O’Neal Designs since 2001.

That business specializes in logo design, branding, packaging and other design services to businesses of all sizes around the world, including Honeywell, Tyson Foods, Dell, National Diamond Sellers Association, Huntington Bank, Convergys Corporation, Lockheed Martin, American Express and Kroger.

“In addition to corporate design, I have always had a love for beautiful stationery,” she said. “I design stationery and invitations for various online stationery companies including Minted, Simply to Impress and Photo Affections.”

O’Neal said her designs have been seen by a nationwide audience during segments on The Today Show, Good Morning America and The View, and in publications such as Martha Stewart, Real Simple and The Knot.

Last Christmas, she had her wrapping paper sold internationally at Target.

“Owning my own stationery store has always been a dream, and over the past year, along with the help of the City of Hamilton, I’ve been able to make that dream a reality,” she said. “Scripted Studio allows me a space to share my love of stationery, creative gift giving, beautiful wrapping paper and old school letterpress printing with others.”

O’Neal sad she’s looking forward to creating a list of creative workshops that will be here starting at the storefront in the fall.

Scripted Studio also will be home to existing design business O’Neal Designs with the hopes of allowing visitors to see a working graphic design studio.

O’Neal, who lives in Fairfield with her two teenagers, husband and a cat, Hazel, is a member of the Fairfield City Schools Board of Education.
