In all, Operation Christmas Child has a global goal of reaching 12 million children. Inside the boxes, children will find toys, hygiene items and even school supplies.
“I’ve had the opportunity to see these shoeboxes show up in places like Haiti, Brazil,” said Rich McKinley, with the Miamisburg Christian Church. “We had folks in the Philippines.”
The collection runs through Nov. 21.
