The founder of what will soon be the Miami Valley’s newest sports bar says he wasn’t necessarily looking to open a pub.
But when a building became available around the corner from Andre Reid’s house in Lebanon, Reid’s son Dezmon urged him to take a look at it. He did, and now, he’s a month or so away from opening Reid’s Sports Bar & Grill at 549 E. Main St. in Lebanon. His son will be helping with the venture, Reid said.
The space — which formerly held a barbecue restaurant — seats about 65, but after renovations and the addition of outdoor seating, it may offer seating for as many as 140, Reid said.
“I’m working on a patio as we speak,” Reid told this news outlet Monday, May 21.
Reid has applied for a liquor license for the space, and obtaining that license along with finishing up renovations are the final hurdles to clear before opening, he said. “We’re probably looking at late June,” he said.
Reid’s Sports Bar & Grill will employ 15 to 20, the pub’s owner said. Plans call for being open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily.
