New Dayton-area Starbucks gearing up to open soon is going to be HUGE

What will soon be one of the largest Starbucks shops in the Miami Valley is now hiring and gearing up to open.

Construction is well underway at the new Starbucks at 919 Lyons Road at Miamisburg-Centerville Road (Ohio 725) in Washington Twp., and the nation’s largest coffee-shop chain has posted banners inviting interesting persons to apply to work at what will soon be the Dayton area’s newest coffee shop. The 3,400-square-foot structure previously housed a KeyBank branch.

Starbucks submitted plans for a restaurant that would offer drive-through service and would include two patios, one seating 30 and another seating 12, in addition to the interior seating for 50, according to a site plan filed earlier this year with Washington Twp. officials.

Starbucks has been in rapid expansion mode in suburban areas around Dayton in recent months, opening locations across from The Greene Town Center in Beavercreek, near Meijer in Englewood, and on East Dayton-Yellow Springs Road in Fairborn.

The Seattle-based chain operates more than two dozen locations, some free-standing and some inside other businesses, in the Dayton and northern Cincinnati area.
