Fenwick principal leaving position

Andrew J. Barczak, principal of Bishop Fenwick High School, is leaving the school.

Barczak announced the move in an email.

“Four years ago, God brought me to the Bishop Fenwick family for a purpose. We have done much over the years, achieving dual accreditation, incorporating College Credit Plus, instituting mission trips and establishing a 1:1 program (FIT) using the Microsoft Surface Pro device to name but a few. Students have excelled in athletics, academics and the spiritual life. We have grown together as family,” he said in the email.

On Thursday, The Archdiocese of Greater of Cincinnati indicated Barczak submitted his resignation, effective at the end of the year to Susie Gibbons, superintendent of schools.

“Andrew Barczak went to her office early yesterday morning and resigned, effective at the end of the school year. It was his decision,” Dan Andriacco, spokesman for the Archdiocese, said in an email.

“Fenwick’s board will launch a search to replace him.”

Barczak joined the high school in 2013.

It was unclear where Barczak was headed, but he expressed confidence in the school’s future.

“I want you to know that I will not be returning next year as principal of Bishop Fenwick High School. The school is poised to do well.”

“Please pray for me as I continue to pray for the school,” he wrote in conclusion. “God Bless!”
