Miami slips in annual party school rankings

Miami University is known as one of the top public universities in country. However, the university, to the glee of Oxford alcohol distributors, boasts another national ranking: a top party school.

The university ranked 19th on the Princeton Review’s 2015 list of the top party schools. That’s down five spots from its 2014 ranking.

Meanwhile, Ohio University took back its title as the top party school in Ohio, ranking 16th on the list.

Miami and Ohio U. were the only Ohio universities to make the list.

The top spot on the Princeton Review’s list went to University of Illinois in Champaign.

Last year, Miami president David Hodge announced the formation of an Alcohol Task Force, which issued its first report in March. The task force’s report found that Miami’s high-risk drinking rates ranked higher than the national average.
