Cincinnati Travel, Sports and Boat Show Jan. 20 and Jan. 23-27 at Duke Energy Convention Center, 525 Elm St., Cincinnati. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 20, 5 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 23-25, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 26, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 27.

RV show planned

The 2019 Cincinnati-Dayton RV Show will be held Jan. 24-27 at Dayton Convention Center, 22 E. 5th St. The show will be open noon to 7 p.m. Jan. 24-25, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 26, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 27.

An RV show for RV enthusiasts. Many makes and models to choose from. Featuring the very latest makes and models of recreational vehicles from all the nation’s top manufacturers.

Tickets are $10 for adults, children 12 and under are free. Good Sam Club members receive 50 percent off of tickets (for up to two tickets).

Theatre to present “The Christians”

As part of its 40th anniversary season, Middletown Lyric Theatre (MLT) will bring “The Christians” to Middletown’s First United Methodist Church on Jan. 25-26. Shows will be held nightly at 8 p.m. There will be an additional matinee at 3 p.m. Saturday. Performances will be held at First United Methodist Church of Middletown, 120 S. Broad St. Directed by Charley Shafor, the production focuses on influence and faith in a megachurch.

Admission is $15 for reserved seating (plus ticketing fees). Purchase at Advance purchase recommended. If available, tickets may be purchased at each performance.

Family performance of “Cyrano”

Miami University Performing Arts Series presents a Family Performance Series of “Cyrano,” at 7 p.m. Jan. 25 at Oxford Community Arts Center, 10 S. College Ave.

Adapted from the book by Edmond Rostand. Cyrano de Bergerac is a master of swordplay and wordplay, but a “magnificent Mount Everest of a nose” blocks his path to true love. Tongue-tied Christian borrows Cyrano’s words to woo beautiful Roxane — but is she falling for Christian’s looks or Cyrano’s soul?

Performance is recommended for grades three and older.

Orchestra to perform Big Band music

The Franz Klaber Orchestra (also known as the Klaberheads) delivers an evening of Big Band era favorites at 8 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Fairfield Community Arts Center, 411 Wessel Drive. Playing hits like “In the Mood,” “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got that Swing),” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” as well as ballads such as “Moonlight Serenade,” tangos, foxtrots, and waltzes, they bring fun and enjoyment to all ages.

Fitton to hold Showstopper

Fitton Showstopper will present “A Night at the Opera,” 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at Fitton Center for Creative Arts, 101 S. Monument Ave.

Operatic stars of the Cincinnati College—Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati will fill the Fitton Family Theater with their magnificent voices as they present some of the world’s most beloved operatic arias, duets, trios and ensembles. Featuring four opera singers, a pianist and a special guest host for the evening, this performance will be perfect for the opera connoisseur and the first-timer alike.

Aquarium to hold Winter Family Days

Newport Aquarium will hold Winter Family Days through Feb. 28. During Winter Family Days, one kid gets in free with each full price adult. A family fun experiences to see majestic sea life, touch amazing creatures and explore the underwater world.

Zoo to hold Penguin Days

Penguin Days at the Cincinnati Zoo will be held through March 8. Enjoy half-price Zoo admission every day. Every weekend, guests can watch penguins, polar bears and even elephants enjoy the winter weather in their own way during a variety of animal enrichment activities. Plus, enjoy heated indoor animal exhibits throughout the park. Penguin Parades return in 2019. It must be below 50 degrees for the penguins to walk.

Museum to opens its 2019 gallery season

Harmon Museum opened its 2019 Gallery Show season with a look into the continuing tradition of handmade pottery featuring a variety of Warren County’s best known contemporary potters. Both earthenware and stoneware are showcased finished in a wide array of beautiful glazes and decorations. The Show opened Jan. 18 and runs through Feb. 22. Visitors to the Show will experience pottery from the immensely functional and durable to the interpretive and delicate.

Harmon Museum (Warren County Historical Society) is located at 105 S. Broadway, Lebanon. Visitors should park in the new Lebanon Library parking lot behind Harmon Museum and enter through the universally accessible west entrance. For more information visit or call 513-932-1817.
