About 1 of every 13 people in Ohio is a veteran and five of the state’s top 18 counties in veterans population are in our region, ensuring that veterans issues will remain important in this area, according to a comparison with U.S. Census population estimates from 2014.
What kind of stories are we looking for?
• Veterans of every age, including those who served during World War II, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and Iraq and Afghanistan
• Female veterans
• Veterans who want to share a story about mental health and PTSD
• Veterans from every branch of the military
