AFMC senior leaders receive Presidential Rank Awards

Six Air Force Materiel Command civilian senior executives were named 2019 Presidential Rank Awards recipients. The awards feature two categories: distinguished and meritorious.

Nominations are evaluated by boards of private citizens and approved by the president. Only 5 percent of Senior Executive Service and Senior Professionals may receive the Presidential Meritorious Rank Award, and only 1 percent may receive the Presidential Distinguished Rank Award.

Kathy Watern, executive director, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center

Meritorious Executive

Bill Snodgrass, director, Manpower, Personnel and Services, HQ Air Force Materiel Command

Meritorious Senior Professional

Dr. Alok Das, senior scientist for Design Innovation, Air Force Research Laboratory

Dr. Paul Antonik, chief scientist, Information Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory

Dr. Joseph W. Nichols, technical advisor, Flight Test and Evaluation, Air Force Test Center
