Six fit Airmen defeated the Alpha Warrior battle station and the clock May 23.

The top three female competitors were 1st Lt. Malia Stephens, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center; Capt. Jennifer Wendland, 711th Human Performance Wing; and Olivia Lehman, 88th Medical Group Civilian Health Promotion Services.

The top three male competitors from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base were Senior Airman Naason Cook, 88th Security Forces Squadron, followed by 1st Lt. David Carr and 1st Lt. Casey Moninghoff, both from the AFLCMC.

The Alpha Warrior competition puts participants through a series of consecutive obstacles and stations in and around its 12-by-12 foot battle station, to see who can complete the course within the time limit and rules of the competition. For males, the time to beat is four minutes and for females, the time limit is four minutes and 30 seconds.

The program is designed to push the strength of military members and enhance functional fitness training. The course allows participants to navigate obstacles that are constantly changing and encourages them to use different techniques and quick decision-making to complete each station in a timely manner.

Military members who place in the top three at base level qualify to advance to the regional competition June 29 at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, New York. Top competitors from each of the regionals will quality to advance to the Super Regionals in July, with hopes of qualifying for the Alpha Warrior final battle, Sept. 12 in Selma, Texas.
