Patriot Day memorials planned for the Miami Valley

Terrorists attacked America 17 years ago on September 11, 2001, in series of coordinated hijackings that resulted in nearly 3,000 deaths at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa.

After 17 years, local residents continue to remember those who lost their lives. Local memorials, events and ceremonies in the area Tuesday include:
