Both drivers and a passenger were injured Tuesday afternoon in a collision involving a semitrailer and a car at U.S. 127 and Kruckeberg Road in Greenville.

According to the preliminary investigation, 19-year-old Cassie Rapier of Union City, Indiana, drove her Chevrolet Cavalier into the path of a semitrailer driven by 19-year-old Jesse Shaffer of New Paris, Ohio, according to the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
Rapier and her front seat passenger Craig Cable, and Shaffer suffered non life-threatening injuries and were taken to Wayne HealthCare.
Rapier apparently failed to yield after pulling off from a posted stop sign on eastbound Kruckeberg Road at 127. The accident occurred just after 5 p.m.
U.S. 127 at Kruckeberg was closed for about two hours because of the accident and resulting investigation.
