Boy Scouts of America will be canvassing neighborhoods through Saturday for canned goods.
Collected food will be donated to The Foodbank and local food pantries, according to a release. Those interested in donating can also do so at The Foodbank.
The Boy Scouts are hoping to collect more than 100,000 pounds of food to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Miami Valley Council.
Nearly 124,000 people struggle with hunger in the Miami Valley, according to the Foodbank.
