Darke County Airport will house the helicopter, serving as CareFlight's northwest base in the region.
The fourth base will begin responding to calls as early as late February.
“This will further enhance our health system's rapid air transport capabilities across the northern Miami Valley,” Mary Boosalis, president and CEO of Premier Health said in a release.
CareFlight is Dayton’s first medical transport program and the regions fastest.
More than 70,000 patients have been transported since its start in 1983.
