INITIAL REPORT:

A man exposed himself and touched a woman with his genitals at the Cornerstone of Centerville Kroger Friday and a similar crime reported in the Cincinnati suburb of Norwood Saturday has police investigating whether they are connected.

"We are aware of the similarities between the incidents and are actively working to see if they're connected,” said Officer John Davis, spokesman for the Centerville Police Department.  “It's an active and ongoing investigation."

An employee of the grocery store called to report the incident at the Centerville Kroger Friday after a 69-year-old woman reported it to staff, police said.

According to Centerville investigators, the man accused of exposing himself is described as approximately 25-years-old with a medium length afro-style haircut. He was wearing a dark blue Just Do It” T-shirt and dark-colored shorts.

The man may have fled the store in a black, newer model Chrysler 300, police said.

In the similar Cincinnati area case, Dasheil Garrison, 26, was arrested by Norwood Police Saturday after the department received four calls reporting a man allegedly exposing himself to women at the Surrey Square Mall, said Lt. Ron Murphy with the Norwood Police Department.

Murphy said Norwood officers responded to the mall on Montgomery Road after receiving the first call around 2 p.m.  Garrison was eventually arrested around 3:30 p.m. after officers received a fourth call of him allegedly exposing himself, Murphy said.

The 26-year-old remained in the Hamilton County Jail Tuesday morning on charges of public indecency and resisting arrest, jail records showed.
