Crews were first dispatched to the lake near Jamestown around 1:25 p.m. after receiving reports of two juveniles who were in the water after falling through ice, emergency scanner traffic indicates.
Both children were rescued from the lake by 1:35 p.m., reports indicate.
It was not known if either child suffered injuries.
According to witnesses, a neighbor heard the two children’s cries for help after they fell through the ice and got the attention of three men.
One of the men grabbed life jackets while another found an extension cord and worked to rescue the children before firefighters arrived and got them out of the water.
The children fell through the ice roughly 30 feet from shore.
