No citations issued at Butler County OVI checkpoint

An OVI checkpoint Friday night in West Chester resulted in no arrests or citations.

Pete Reising, Butler County OVI Task Force coordinator, said 689 vehicles went through the checkpoint between 9:15 p.m. and 12:45 a.m. Saturday.

The checkpoint was located on northbound Ohio 747 (Princeton-Glendale Road) at Peter Place.

West Chester police, Butler County Sheriff’s deputies and Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the checkpoint in addition to saturation patrols around the checkpoint location.

The checkpoints and saturation patrols are part of the task force’s efforts to reduce OVI related crashes resulting in injuries and fatalities.

The Butler County OVI Task Force is funded by U.S. DOT/NHTSA and ODPS.
