UPDATE @ 5:25 p.m.

Former Fairborn Fire Chief Mike Riley and the city of Fairborn have reached a separation agreement and more information about his termination will be released on Tuesday, according to Fairborn City Manager Rob Anderson.

Anderson said Riley’s firing is not the result of him doing anything wrong, but rather it was a decision to go in a different direction.

“Mike Riley has the utmost ethics ... He’s a good man. I wanted to take the department in a different direction, and they needed a different voice,” Anderson said.
