There have been 45,172 confirmed cases and 2,545 confirmed deaths attributed to the virus in Ohio. The state is reporting 2,772 total deaths.

Gov. Mike DeWine said yesterday’s increase of 892 new cases was among the highest jump in cases the state has seen during the pandemic.
Though the state has increased testing, health officials do not believe all the new cases stem from more tests.
He urged Ohioans to continue wearing face masks, practicing physical distancing and frequently washing hands.

The Ohio National Guard was in the Miami Valley this week to help with free coronavirus testing.
More than 2,000 people were tested at pop-up testing sites in Dayton and Xenia, according to Five Rivers Health Centers. Results from the pop-up testing are expected within three to five days.
