Coronavirus: Dayton collecting cloth masks for essential non-health care workers

The City of Dayton is asking for help collecting cloth face masks for essential non-health care workers.

Masks should be dropped off at City Hall at the Third Street entrance between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Recently the Center for Disease Control and Prevention began recommending that all Americans cover their faces when leaving home, especially if they’re going to be around other people.

Medical grade masks, such as N95 masks, should still be saved for health care workers and others on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.

Other people can use face masks, bandanas, scarves, T-shirts and items to cover their noses and mouths.
