Coronavirus: Reid Health postpones elective procedures, first ‘presumptive positive’ case in Wayne County, Ind.

Reid Health in Wayne County Ind. has canceled all elective procedures as of Thursday, March 19.

On Tuesday, Ohio’s Department of Health ordered all elective procedures and surgeries to be postponed.

Reid Health and Wayne County, Ind. health officials confirmed their first presumptive positive coronavirus case in the county.

A presumptive positive case of coronavirus was announced in Wayne County on Tuesday, The person was from Franklin County, Ind. who tested positive in Wayne County, officials announced. Health officials were notified Monday night of the first round of positive testing, officials announced during a press conference Tuesday morning.

Wayne County officials also issued a Level 2 travel advisory, meaning only essential travel should be done.
