Coronavirus: Hours change at UD Arena drive-up testing site

The drive-up coronavirus collection site will close two hours earlier beginning Wednesday.

The site will continue to offer a process to collect specimens from patients with a physician’s order with them for a COVID-19 test.

New hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the University of Dayton Arena parking lot, 1801 Edwin C. Moses Blvd. in Dayton, Premier Health announced Tuesday evening.

Criteria to be tested includes virus symptoms such as fever, dry cough and shortness of breath; contact with someone who has tested positive or cases where the person has traveled overseas.

The testing is a collaboration of Premier Health, CompuNet and Premier Health Urgent Care. Quest Diagnostics conducts the  testing.

Since the Premier Health COVID-19 collection site opened March 17, nearly 1400 COVID-19 tests have been administered. There were 107 patients seen Tuesday, with 80 flu tests administered, nine positive flu tests, 105 COVID-19 tests administered and 32 redirected who did not have a doctor’s order.
