Car crashes into tree, splits in half in Warren County

UPDATE @ 11:30 p.m.

A car crashed into a tree with the impact causing it to split in half.

The crash was reported around 10:45 p.m. on Ohio 123 near Columbine Drive in Turtlecreek Twp., north of Lebanon in Warren County. The only occupant was the driver, who was taken to an area hospital. Their condition was not immediately available.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lebanon Post is investigating but have not said whether they believe the crash is weather-related.

FIRST REPORT

Crews were called tonight to a report of a car split in half during a crash on Ohio 123.

The crash was reported around 10:45 p.m. near Columbine Drive.

According to initial reports, a driver struck a tree, causing the car to split, and was trapped in the wreckage.
