Driver in police pursuit hospitalized after crashing into Dayton house

UPDATE @4:45 a.m.

A driver who was fleeing police crashed their car into a Dayton house early Friday morning.

Police said the driver ran a stop sign on Dryden Road in Moraine in front of an officer, then continued driving. Police pursued the driver into Dayton, where he lost control and crashed into a house in the 1400 block of S. Broadway Street. The car crashed through a fence and then into the home’s foundation.

The driver is being treated at Miami Valley Hospital.

Police said the driver didn’t have a license, and it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor.

No one in the home was injured.

A vehicle has reportedly crashed into a structure in the 1400 block of S. Broadway Street early Friday morning.

Crews responded to the incident around 2:15 a.m., per initial reports.

An individual described as a black male wearing black pants and a black shirt reportedly fled from the scene of the crash.
