The family returned home from the grocery store to find their neighbors telling them their house had heavy smoke coming from the attic, Chief Mike Fascacht of the Dayton fire department said.
The electric is currently shut off for safety purposes and it is being considered as a cause for the fire.
INITIAL REPORT:
Crews responded to a two-story house fire in the 200 block of Hillcrest Avenue, reported around 7:20 p.m.
Initial reports indicated there was smoke showing from the attic.
