Carson D. Barker, 33, was charged with murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence, having weapons under disability and discharge of a firearm near a prohibited premise, according to Dayton Municipal Court records.

He was arrested on Memorial Day and his case has been referred to a Montgomery County grand jury.

An initial investigation showed that the shooting was not a random incident and that it was the result of a “long-running dispute” between Barker and Campbell, said Lt. Jason Hall.
