3 Dayton breweries collaborate on special beer

Several local breweries and brewmasters are coming together to make special collaboration beers for Dayton Beer Week, coming up in late August.

Today, on Tuesday July 26, the brewers from three local establishments — Eudora Brewing Company in Kettering, Fifth Street Brewpub in Dayton and Crooked Handle Brewing Co. in Springboro — gathered at Eudora to put together the ingredients for a three-barrel batch of Blood Orange Saison, according to Neil Chabut, Eudora's founder and head brewer. The beer will use 100 percent American hops and will approach an IPA style, the collaborators said.
