No plans to enforce curfew in Dayton tonight

After two nights of curfews, the City of Dayton does not plan on enforcing a curfew Monday night.

“We want to thank the residents of Dayton who have been so passionate, and primarily peaceful in their protests,” read a release from the city. “As a community, we are fortunate to be able to share a space for productive dialogue. We do not plan to enforce the curfew tonight, June 1.”

The city will continue to monitor events scheduled for tonight and is prepared to make changes if needed.

A weekend of protests prompted the city to issue curfews both Saturday and Sunday.

The curfew on Saturday was from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday and the curfew Sunday was from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday

After protests Sunday night, Springfield announced a curfew from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
