The Dayton Police Department urged the public to lock vehicles so children can’t get inside to play, and possibly become trapped and overcome by the heat.
The National Safety Council also advises parents and caregivers to avoid distractions when young children and pets are in the car and to be sure to “Look Before You Lock” and leave the car.
It's dangerously hot, please make sure you lock your vehicles so your kids or any kids can't get in there to play.
